1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Psychology AI & LoLa Chat AI. These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you ("User") and Psychology AI Ltd, Edinburgh, UK ("we," "us," or "our").
By accessing or using our services — including LoLa Chat, quizzes, self-assessment tools, or AI-generated content — you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
User Requirements:
You must be 16 years or older and legally capable of entering into a contract.
Definitions:
Inputs: Text, messages, or content you submit.
Outputs: Responses, messages, or content generated by the AI.
2. Service Description and Limitations
Psychology AI & LoLa Chat AI provide AI-powered support for mental health awareness, self-discovery, and personal growth.
Services may include:
Interactive AI chat sessions (LoLa Chat)
Quizzes and self-assessment tools
Personalized reflections and growth tips
AI-generated advice, recommendations, and educational content
Important:
Services are informational and educational only.
Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated.
They are not a substitute for professional therapy, counselling, or medical advice.
3. User Eligibility and Account Responsibilities
Users must be 16+ years old and legally capable of contracting.
Account creation may require your name, email, password, and optional organization or school codes.
You are responsible for maintaining accurate information and keeping your credentials secure.
You may not share or transfer your account without permission.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
Users agree to:
Use the services for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
Keep account credentials secure and confidential.
Not submit, share, or upload any defamatory, obscene, abusive, or unlawful content.
Not reverse engineer, manipulate, or misuse AI systems.
Comply with all applicable laws and the platform Privacy Policy.
Prohibited topics include:
Self-harm or suicide
Severe psychosis or delusions
Extreme emotional dysregulation
Obsession, stalking, or harassment
Severe self-neglect
Violations may result in suspension or permanent termination of your account.
5. Crisis and High-Risk Situations
The AI cannot provide emergency or crisis care.
If a user discloses suicidal thoughts, self-harm, or extreme distress, the AI may display emergency resource contacts, such as:

Or local crisis resources, depending on location
Users are solely responsible for their safety. The AI is supportive and educational — not a replacement for human or clinical assistance.
6. Payments, Subscriptions, and Refunds
Some features may require a subscription.
Subscription plans, trial periods, and payment terms will be clearly displayed before purchase.
Subscriptions may auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
Refunds follow the platform's refund policy and are generally non-refundable after trial periods.
We may update pricing with notice.
7. Data Ownership and Privacy
You retain ownership of your Inputs.
By using the services, you grant us a license to process Inputs and Outputs to operate, maintain, and improve the AI.
We may create anonymized or aggregated data for analytics, research, and product improvement.
High-risk content may trigger automated safety messages or crisis resource suggestions, but personal data is not shared externally unless required by law.

8. Intellectual Property and AI Outputs
Psychology AI Ltd owns all rights to the software, platform design, and AI systems.
You retain ownership of your Inputs.
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-commercial license to use the Outputs.
You may view, copy, or download Outputs for personal use only.
You may not sell, distribute, or publicly publish Outputs without written permission.
9. AI Services Disclaimer
Services are provided "as is."
Outputs may contain errors, biases, or hallucinations.
We do not guarantee accuracy, reliability, or completeness.
Users must exercise judgment and discretion when interpreting AI-generated content.
The services are not a substitute for medical, psychological, or legal advice.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Our total liability to any user is capped at £100.
You are solely responsible for decisions made based on AI Outputs.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Psychology AI Ltd and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from:
Your use of the services, Inputs, or Outputs
Violation of these Terms or applicable laws
Infringement of third-party rights
12. Termination and Suspension
We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations, safety concerns, or legal reasons.
Account deletion results in loss of associated Inputs and Outputs.
